Policies
Qualification for membership
Subject to approval of existing members, a person is eligible to join if he or she is an owner, professional, executive, or entrepreneur and is in a position to generate appropriate contacts or leads to other members of the club. One member represents each occupational category and conflicts of interest are not allowed.
Expectations of Members
Members are expected to attend weekly meetings. Dues are charged quarterly and are expected to be kept current. Members should seek to assist other members by getting to know them and their businesses.
Officers/Board of Director Members
The officers are elected annually by the membership. Offices are President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. The President will appoint the Membership Chairman, Leads Chairman, Social Chairman, Programs Chairman and Sergeant-at-Arms.
Guests
Members are encouraged to bring guests to the meeting for the possibility of joining the club. After attending two meetings, the Membership Chairman will make a visit to the potential member’s business. A $100 new member fee plus one quarter of dues is due prior to a potential person joining the club.
Dues
The quarterly dues are $100. The Treasurer will send quarterly statements to the membership. Payments are expected to be made in a timely manner or a late charge of $5.00 per month may be assessed. Members that are delinquent are subject to removal from membership at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Meetings
Unless otherwise announced, meetings are held every Friday morning at 7:00 a.m. and will conclude at 8:30 a.m. Meetings are held at Marie Callender’s located at 6950 Alvarado Road in La Mesa. Use the west entrance.
Attendance at Meetings
Members are expected to attend meetings on a regular basis. When a member is unable to attend, they are requested to let the Secretary know prior to the meeting. If a member misses two consecutive meetings or misses more than four meetings in a quarter, their membership may be subject to termination.
Leads
Members are expected to generate at least four leads each month. The member with the highest leads for the month will be awarded a $25 certificate that can be redeemed at any of the member’s businesses.
Programs
Members are expected to greet members and guests, show boat their business and speak at the weekly meeting. Members are encouraged to speak on a topic relevant to their business. The Programs Chairman will produce the calendar for these functions.
